"I have a hunger for an education in art, I want to learn it all."

Mohammed Benchi

Mohammed Benchi was born in Tetouane, Morocco and came to the U.S. in the mid 1990’s to continue his art education. A trained painter, many of his paintings depict the people and landscapes of his native country. His work has been displayed in several galleries in the Raleigh/Durham area.

Coming from a classical background, he was unsure whether he would be able to adapt to the use of digital animation tools. After a few quarters at the School of Communication Arts, however, he’s found that his drawing, painting, and sculpting skills translate well into the digital realm. With a broad artistic skill set and his newfound digital tools, Mohammed Benchi has become a force to be reckoned with.
